Our B&B is perfectly located for visiting Tuscany, from its most famous cities such as Florence, Siena, Pisa and Arezzo to its most picturesque villages. Among the latter outstanding for their beauty and historical interest there are Volpaia, Radda, Castellina, Badia a Passignano, Gaiole, Montefioralle, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Volterra, San Miniato and Cortona.
By means of the numerous tour organized by local wineries you can discover and taste the Chianti Classico DOCG wines. These are mainly obtained from the Sangiovese grape variety, which can be mixed up to a 20% maximum with the native varieties Canaiolo and Colorino. Tasting Vinsanto is a must. This is a sweet wine obtained from white raisins, usually to be tasted with cantuccini (small almond dry biscuits).
The gastronomic offer of the area is very wide. In addition to the huge amount of restaurants and trattorias where to enjoy the regional cuisine, it is possible to taste many products with DOP and IGP designation such as the panforte and ricciarelli of Siena, the San Gimignano saffron, the Tuscan pecorino, or other delicacies such as the truffles of San Miniato.
